Approach

The Ayurvedic approach

Ayurveda considers the whole person — history, routine and individual constitution — rather than a single complaint in isolation.

How Dr. Sabina works

[Placeholder — to be written with Dr. Sabina.] Ayurvedic care begins with understanding the person, not only the complaint. Each consultation considers history, daily routine and individual constitution before any approach is discussed.

What a first consultation involves

[Placeholder — to be written with Dr. Sabina.] A first consultation typically involves a detailed history, physical assessment including pulse examination, and a discussion of what Ayurvedic management may involve. Suitability is assessed individually, and conventional medical evaluation is recommended wherever appropriate.

Common questions

What happens during a first consultation?
A first consultation usually involves a detailed discussion of your health history, daily routine and current concerns, along with a physical assessment. Dr. Sabina will then explain what an Ayurvedic approach might involve in your case.
Do I need to stop my existing medication?
No. Do not stop or change any prescribed medication without speaking to the doctor who prescribed it. Please bring details of anything you are currently taking to your consultation so it can be taken into account.
Is Ayurveda a replacement for conventional medical care?
No. Ayurvedic care can sit alongside conventional medical treatment, and conventional evaluation is recommended wherever it is appropriate. If you have a medical emergency, seek immediate conventional medical care.
